Vraastrology (vra.vedajyoti.org) is a birth-time rectification service operated by Veda Jyoti · OccultSanctum. Birth details are intimate information — this page says plainly what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

What we collect

• Your Google account basics when you sign in — name and email address. We use Google sign-in only; we never see or store a password.
• Birth details you enter — the name, birth date, birthplace, and approximate birth time of each chart you create. A chart may describe you or someone you add (family, friends); you are responsible for having their consent.
• Where the chart’s subject lives now, if you tell us — a city, optional, and separate from the birthplace. Readings about today (transits, the day’s windows, the panchang) are computed in that place’s timezone; without it they fall back to the birthplace. We store the city name and its coordinates.
• Your device’s location, only with your permission — and only in two places: VR Daycast, the reading that answers about the next few hours, as its page opens, and BTR Compare, when you press Use my location. Your browser asks your permission first. If you say no, VR Daycast reads the day at the city above or, without one, at the birthplace, and BTR Compare reads today at that city or, without one, at the major city of your browser’s time zone, marked (approx). When you say yes, the coordinates are sent to the platform only for that visit — on VR Daycast, with the moment it reads and each question you ask while its page is open; on BTR Compare, with the questions of that one comparison — used to place the day and its timezone, and not stored, on your chart or in your browser: opening VR Daycast again, or the next comparison, asks again. We never track your device in the background, and your birthplace is never changed by where you happen to be.
• Life events you confirm during rectification — the event types and dates you select (for example a marriage year). These exist only to score candidate birth times.
• Questions you ask a chart and the answers, kept as your conversation history so you can return to them.
• Payment references — the Razorpay order and payment identifiers of a purchase. Your card or UPI details go to Razorpay directly and never touch our servers.

How it is used

Only to run the service: computing charts, sweeping candidate birth times, answering the questions you ask, and keeping your credit balance. A live position, when you grant one, is used for the visit — or the single comparison — you granted it for and for nothing else — not for analytics, not for a location history, not to work out where you live. Rectification runs, conversations, and credits are processed and stored on the OccultSanctum platform that powers this site. Answers to chart questions are generated with the help of a third-party AI model provider acting as a sub-processor. We do not run advertising, we do not profile you for marketing, and we never sell or share your birth details with anyone.

Cookies

Two, both essential: a short-lived state cookie during Google sign-in, and a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 7 days. No analytics or tracking cookies.

Where your data lives

Your charts (names, birth details and any current city you have given), rectification runs, conversations, account identity and credit balance are stored on the OccultSanctum platform, which powers this site. Your browser also keeps a copy of your chart list so the site is fast and still works offline; that copy is a convenience, not the record. Reasonable technical measures — encrypted transport everywhere, server-side API keys, signed sessions — protect them.

Vraastrology is a Veda Jyoti brand of OccultSanctum, and your account here is your OccultSanctum account. So a chart you save here appears wherever else you use that account, and a chart you saved there appears here. Removing a chart from Vraastrology takes it off this site's list and leaves it on your OccultSanctum account; to erase it everywhere, delete it there or write to us.

Your rights

Ask at any time to see, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. Write to support@occultsanctum.com from your sign-in email and we will act within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your charts, conversations and rectification runs; payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will note it here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

30 September 2026 — Ask this day is now VR Daycast. It asks for your device’s location once as its page opens, and uses it, with your permission, for that visit’s readings rather than one reading at a time. It is still not stored. Nothing else about what we collect changed.

26 September 2026 — BTR Compare can use your device’s location, with your permission, for one comparison at a time, as Ask this day does for one reading. Nothing else about what we collect changed.

14 September 2026 — added Ask this day, which can use your device’s location with your permission for one reading at a time. Nothing else about what we collect changed.
